Our process, vetted over three decades, demystifies complicated and daunting remodeling projects with a step-by-step approach from early concept design through delivery of cabinetry to your home.

Our Process

Initial Showroom Meeting

  • Discuss scope of project and goals, budget, desired time frame, and process

  • Review cabinet lines and accessories, styles and finishes, lead times

 

Home Visit 1

  • Provide in-home consultation, obtain room measurements, video, and photos

  • Sign deposit agreement, collect deposit and completed questionnaire

 

Design Phase I – Concept Designs

  • Prepare preliminary space planning concepts based on goals presented 

  • Conduct phone or showroom meeting (client choice) to discuss each concept

              

Design Phase II – Appliances, Plan Iteration, Initial Price Estimate

  • Obtain detailed appliance specifications, size, make and model numbers

  • Iterate to single floorplan of choice, begin 3D models and initial pricing

 

Design and Decoration Showroom Meeting

  • Two-hour showroom meeting to select finishes, door style, internal accessories

  • Discuss countertop options, door-drawer hardware, flooring, backsplash, fixtures

 

Design Phase III – Final Plans and Pricing

  • Create detailed floorplan, 3D drawings and update pricing per selections

  • Drawings shared through Heartwood drive; final pricing communicated via e-mail

 

Home Visit 2

  • Meet with contractor at job site to discuss plan and installation considerations

  • Verify measurements of final floorplan

 

Agreement and Ordering

  • Showroom meeting for final review and confirmation of cabinets, accessories, and design choices

  • Sign order agreement, collect order deposit, and order cabinetry

 

Production and Delivery

  • Plan and cabinets are verified with factory, built, and delivered

  • Contractor documents delivered, review installation plan on site when possible
